Shifty Powers Dies at 86
Anyone who has watched Band of Brothers or has read the various books about Easy Company of the 506 PIR will recognize the name Darrell “Shifty” Powers. Various news outlets are reporting that Powers has passed away at the age of 86 after a final battle with cancer. Powers was a true hero and gentleman with a quiet strength all too absent in our modern world. The world will miss him. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Powers family.

Gonna watch BoB again, this time with the G/F.
Big loss for our nation - we're losing so many WW2 vets so quickly now. I only hope future generations "get it" about the sacrifices they made...
